3 Benefits to Losing

Are their benefits to losing?

Sometimes there are, especially when we are talking about losing weight. That type of losing is quite wonderful. Many people think that seeing that number go down on the scale is the best part, but I have to tell you that its only the tip of the iceberg. There are so many things that take place when someone goes from being obese, or overwight to becoming healthy and attaining a healthy weight. The three things I am going to share are three of the things I notice in my clients, and in our participants of the Rochelle 24FIT Challenge. When someone meets up with a Rochelle Health Coach, they not only see their numbers on the scale move in the right direction, they also experience other things that are as much or even more wonderful.

#1 Energy

Why am I talking about energy first? Thats because its one of the most common things we as Health Coaches help people with, because its the most common thing people complain about and often the first thing people notice when they get on a nutrition program. After meeting with us and changing a few habits, their bodies start to process things the right way, and begin to create more energy all day long because of the good nutrition. Often I ask my clients "what did you notice first?" They often respond saying "I have all of this crazy energy!" They are cleaning their houses, their dishes, and their neighbors houses because they have so much energy. When you have more energy, it creates feeling that make these next two things possible.

#2 Becoming More Active.

Some people think that once they lose the weight, then they can start doing things they love. The best part of our program is that you can begin these things now, and help out with the weight loss. But again, this is only the start of this. The great thing is that once you begin a nutrition program, you have more energy and when you have more energy, you feel like doing more, so when your kids want to play outside, you feel like doing it. When your spouse wants to take a walk, you want to go with them, or when you have to travel a short distance, you may the choice to walk instead of drive. Simple? Yes it is but it has amazing benefits. Because of this "extra" energy, you create memeories with the people you love that you otherwise would not have been able to do, and have been missing out on for a long time. You can't put a price on the mmeory of playing ball with your kids, taking hikes, or wrestling in the yard, and thats what we give people through the good nutrition of Herbalife.

#3 FEELING Good.

Of course you feel better, but we are talking feeling better in more ways than one. When I started Herbalife, I lost a pesky twenty-five pounds that I had been carrying around with me for years. My back hurt, my joints ached, and my energy was at an all time low, which mad me crave caffeine just to stay going. After losing the weight, my joints and back stopped hurting. There was nothing wrong with them, it was simply the added pressure of carrying around extra weight daily over time. Feeling lighter was a huge benefit that I didn't see coming. But I also felt good about how I looked. I starting showing some muscle, shrinking and looking better in the mirror. This type of feeling good is called confidence, and you see it start to grow in people who lose weight like this. They buy new clothes because their old ones don't fit, and start to become happier because of their newfound confidence. This is so rewardong as a Health Coach because this is a gift you can't give people very often, and to see it taking place in the lives of my clients shows me that I am providing value and purpose to my community.

I could go on and on about the benefits of losing weight, but I wanted to point out a few things that take place that most people don't think about initially. Of course we all want to feel light, and we want to look better, but we are so focused on losing weight and that little number on the scale that sometimes we miss the best parts of the weight loss journey. Its my belief that when done right the journey to losing those extra pounds can be exhilerating and wonderful, not a laborous process like some companies and shows make it out to be.
